Special Interest Groups
Come join the fun, meet new people and form lasting relationships! Contact the SIG Coordinator or fill out the SIG form (paper or online) if you are interested in any of these SIGs. Please let us know of any questions you might have. Please note: You must be a member of Newcomers in order to participate in any of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
When there is a SIG vacancy, the opening should be presented to the SIG Coordinator for assignment. SIG leaders should not accept or assign members without checking with the SIG Coordinator.
To avoid the appearance of bias, the SIG Coordinator will then assign new members to their desired SIG in the order in which requests were received. The Newcomers & Friends Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are formed for members who want to share a common interest or activity. This is a great way to get involved and meet new friends. Some of our groups have been established for years and those members can attest to the bonds they have formed.

Looking for Something New?
Based on feedback that has been received, we have added several new items to the SIG form to determine if there is enough interest to form groups in these areas. We have SIG Leaders that have offered their assistance to help new SIG Leaders in getting a new group established.
