Giving Back to Our Community: Donations to Worthy Causes
Each month's meeting features a unique program with featured themes and guest speakers. Instead of receiving an honorarium, speakers choose a charity or nonprofit for our group to give to. In previous years, Newcomers has made donations to Hope Alliance, Georgetown Animal Shelter, Friends of the Georgetown Library, Southwestern University, Blue Santa, We Are Not Broken, Annunciation Maternity Home, Faith in Action, Ride on Center for Kids (ROCK) and many others.
