Welcome Friends!
Our general membership meetings will be held on the 1st Thursday of the month at Wellspring United Methodist Church, 6200 Williams Drive, Georgetown, at 9:30 for social time, with the meeting starting at 10:00 unless otherwise noted. Speaker topics will range from historical to current events that you will find both informative and interesting. We are confident there is something for everyone and you will not be disappointed. Please feel free to bring a guest
This organization has been helping strangers become friends through its wonderful members and activities for 50 years. Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident wanting to find a new pastime activity, you will want to check out our calendar, Special Interest Groups, & newsletters that include photos of our general meetings and member activities that will surely get you excited about joining Newcomers. Whether you are joining as a new member or simply renewing, our yearly dues are $35 which covers all the adults in a household. They can be paid on-line, by postal mail, or at a meeting. See our membership page for all the details.

- April 16th – We are looking forward to seeing everyone on February 5th for our General Meeting! We will have a presentation from Georgetown Chief of Police, Cory Tchida about scams. Come at 9:30 to sign in, socialize, and meet new members, while you enjoy coffee, tea, or water. Lunch follows (tbd) where members order and pay on their own.
- May 14 – Fashion Show Luncheon – Please join us for the Newcomers and Friends of Georgetown Fashion Show luncheon on May 14, 2026, at The Oaks, Sun City from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.Tickets are $15 per person. We will have a boxed lunch & dessert from Sweet Lemon, and will enjoy the show as our members model Therapie Boutique fashions. Register here!
