Welcome to Newcomers & Friends of Georgetown
On behalf of Newcomers and Friends of Georgetown, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. We are a social group whose main purposes are to introduce new residents to Georgetown and its resources; to acquaint long standing residents with newcomers and the community; and to facilitate new connections through shared benefits and social activities. We accomplish these purposes through our monthly meetings, our numerous Special Interest Groups, socials, Coffee and Conversation, and day trips. Whether you just moved to Georgetown recently or have been here for years, we offer you the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy a variety of activities.
You can pay your $25 yearly dues, which covers all the adults in a household, on-line, by postal mail, or at a meeting. Our membership page has all the details.
We hope you’ll check out our calendar, learn about Special Interest Groups, enjoy photos of our meetings and members, and read our newsletters. Please feel free to contact us. Your email will be answered as promptly as possible.

Sheila's April Video Message
Well, the State is finally opening back up and hopefully Newcomers can resume some sort of normalcy. We are excited to see you in April, in fact, April Fools – April 1st will be our general meeting at Berry Springs Park. Our speaker will be from Southwestern University, so bring your sack lunch and come join us!
Our Special Interest Groups are coming out of hibernation and are willing to start meeting again. Out of respect for our members privacy, we cannot, as a Newcomer Organization, mandate that people get vaccinated or even ask them if they have been vaccinated as that is a HIPPEA law so please be very careful and mindful. In fact, there are many people that cannot get vaccinated due to medical conditions or age (like myself) so again, please be mindful of this.
I hope you have a great day and look forward to seeing you in April!
